The Ethiopia Institute for Economic Justice (EIEJ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the United States. EIN 84-4697643
Our Vision:
The Ethiopia Institute for Economic Justice (EIEJ) utilizes innovative approaches to address economic challenges, social injustice, and other critical issues facing the ethnic minorities in Ethiopia & greater East Africa, and the refugee population in the U.S.A.

Our Mission:
EIEJ’s goals are to influence local, national, and international policy and decision-making groups in order to promote peace, economic empowerment, and just society. We increase awareness of economic injustice and the need for social justice reform, in order to promote democratic ideals and embrace ethnic diversity in language and cultures.

We uphold the rights of everyone to education, health care services, sanitary public spaces, adequate food, clean drinking water, acceptable housing, and having their historical land rights honored.
In the U.S.A, EIEJ supports for refugees/immigrant youth to help reach their full potentials in pursuing higher education, short-term training/stackable credentials, cultivating good citizenship, and learning entrepreneurship.
What We Do:
EIEJ improves human lives through informed and accountable policy and social practices by:
facilitating and communicating the results of independent, action-oriented research and analysis.
providing practical educational training through a variety of channels.
offering leadership development training to build human capacity.
creating opportunities for dialogue, discussion, and debate to promote democratic ideals, and informed public policy.
